Mr. Paul Ahlemeyer - High School Band Director

Mr. Ahlemeyer is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska where he attended the University of Nebraska. Upon graduating, Mr. Ahlemeyer moved to the Saint Louis area, where he was quickly integrated into the local music scene. Before coming to Fort Zumwalt, Mr. Ahlemeyer was a band director in the Francis Howell School District, where he spent his time teaching band at Francis Howell High School and Francis Howell North High School.
Mr. Ahlemeyer also plays trombone professionally around the Saint Louis area, performing with the Saint Louis Philharmonic Orchestra, Genesis Jazz Project, Harmony Brass Quartet, Missouri Baptist University Concert Band, and the Washington University Wind Ensemble. Mr. Ahlemeyer also maintains a highly successful private studio of low brass musicians.

Mrs. Nicole Hackel - Middle School Band Director

Mrs. Hackel studied Music Education at Truman State University where she received her Bachelor's in Music and her Master’s degree in Arts in Education. During her time at Truman she participated in steel pan band, concert percussion ensemble, and the Statesmen Marching Band’s drumline and front ensemble.
Mrs. Hackel was a performer with WGI’s Gateway Indoor Percussion from 2010-2012, and DCI’s Phantom Regiment in 2014. She is an active member of the Percussive Arts Society and enjoys finding opportunities to take students to percussion events around the state. She has regularly performed in local orchestras and small ensembles in the central Missouri region and looks forward to teaching and performing back home in the St. Louis area.
